Gaffney Logistics is considered one of Australia’s leading and expanding transport and warehousing providers.  The services range from: container and freight delivery, container fumigation, unpacking and packing and warehousing and storage services for clients. 

Gaffney’s business objective was to provide a web enabled system that will improve the business efficiencies by streamlining the non value added activities.

AV Tech was appointed to provide initial consultation and business analysis of Gaffney’s business operational process and was engaged in providing the solution specification and development of the eTrack and Container Freight Station (CFS) systems.  The solution that AV Tech deployed provides the following key features:

A web-enabled system (internet/intranet) to be accessed and used by staff, agents and clients

• Secure logon via the web browser using a logon ID and password
• Automatic password expire detection
• Different access levels can be assigned to individual users including customers
• Provide more accurate and up-to-date information
• Allow users to view and update information interactively
• Ability to track job activities, vessel movements (FCL & FAK) and allocate jobs at any time
• Ability to assign drivers and record time cards
• Email notification to users informing if job status has changed
• Capture digital photos of any damaged goods and send them to clients
• Generate reports using Crystal Report (eg. Invoice, delivery docket, manifest etc)
• Automatically run schedule reports and email them to customers
• Ability to send invoice information to MYOB
• Communicate with Sea Cargo Automation using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
